Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to online bookings and open play bookings made through PlayKorte. It is incorporated by reference into the Terms & Conditions and Facility Terms.
1. Player-Initiated Cancellation
1.1 Court Booking Player Cancellation Policies
For paid court bookings, Player refund eligibility follows the booking's saved Player Cancellation Policy snapshot from the Facility:
- Flexible: Player cancellations made at least six (6) hours before booking start are eligible for a refund of the court fee, less the non-refundable Service Fee.
- Moderate: Player cancellations made at least twenty-four (24) hours before booking start are eligible for a refund of the court fee, less the non-refundable Service Fee.
- Firm: Player cancellations are non-refundable.
- The PlayKorte booking fee is non-refundable for Player-initiated cancellations.
- The Service Fee is non-refundable for Player-initiated cancellations.
- Where a loyalty reward reduced or waived the booking fee, references to the booking fee in this policy mean the amount actually paid.
1.2 Open Play Player Cancellations
For paid open play sessions, Player cancellations made at least twenty-four (24) hours before session start are eligible for a refund of the session fee, less the non-refundable Service Fee. Player cancellations within twenty-four (24) hours before session start are non-refundable.
1.3 After Start Time
Once booking/session start time has passed:
- PlayKorte cancellation and refund options are not available.
- Any exception or settlement must be handled directly between Player and Facility.
2. Facility-Initiated Cancellation
2.1 Before Start Time
If a Facility cancels an online booking before start time:
- When the original payment method supports refunds, the Player receives a refund of:
- Court fee,
- Booking fee (the amount actually paid, after any loyalty reward discount), and
- Service Fee (where it was charged on the booking).
- The Facility remains responsible for the refunded booking fee amount triggered by the Facility cancellation, and this is not shouldered by PlayKorte.
- The Service Fee refunded to the Player is funded by PlayKorte and is not charged back to the Facility.
- QR Ph payments are non-refundable because automated refunds are not supported for that payment rail.
2.2 After Start Time
Once booking/session start time has passed:
- Facility-initiated cancellation/refund via PlayKorte is not available.
- Player and Facility must settle any issue directly outside PlayKorte's refund workflow.
3. Payment Method Notes
- Refunds are generally processed back to the original payment method when supported by PayMongo and partner rails.
- QR Ph payments are non-refundable.
4. Service Fee and Timelines
- The Service Fee is a flat PlayKorte platform service fee charged to Players on online bookings, the same rate regardless of the payment method used. It is shown before checkout when it applies. It is not a pass-through of any third-party gateway charge, and the Facility is never charged the Service Fee.
- The Service Fee is refundable as follows:
- Player-initiated cancellations: the Service Fee is non-refundable and is retained by PlayKorte.
- Facility-initiated cancellations: the Service Fee is refunded to the Player, funded by PlayKorte, and is not charged back to the Facility.
- Platform-caused cancellations (e.g., system errors, payment timing issues): the Service Fee is refunded to the Player, funded by PlayKorte.
- Refund posting timelines depend on PayMongo and receiving bank or e-wallet processing times.
- Automated refunds can fail if the responsible PayMongo merchant account does not have enough refundable balance. In those cases, manual resolution may be required.
- Where PayMongo does not automatically net refund-related amounts from the responsible merchant balance, PlayKorte may recover amounts owed by a Facility through invoice or other lawful recovery methods where applicable.
5. Policy Updates
PlayKorte may update refund rules, fee allocation, supported rails, and related operational policies at any time by posting updates on the Platform, without prior notice.
